Karl Johnson

Karl has established himself as one of the best young athletes in the country after a stellar year in 2018. He ranked 3rd in Europe and the World for the u18 400m hurdles after winning bronze at the European youth Championships and also ranked 3rd in the UK u20. A highly motivated athlete with superb running action, Karl is on for another great year in 2019.

Joseph Harding
100m hurdles (u17)
Hometown: Thurrock, Essex
Club: Basildon AC
Joseph is the youngest member of the group and is one of the most talented up and coming athletes in the UK. He holds the UK record for the u15s 80m hurdles with 10.50s and went straight into 2nd in the rankings in the older age group. Describing himself as driven and passionate but with a relaxed personality, Joseph now has his eyes on the u17s 100m hurdles UK record.

Amber-Leigh Hall

Amber is a dedicated and focused athlete who joined the group 2 seasons ago. Having been ranked 10th in the world for the u18 100m hurdles and qualified for the World Youth and Commonwealth Youth Championships in the past, Amber will be able to call on this strong experience to prepare her for the senior competitions of the future.

Kennedy Holton

Kennedy joined the group from the United States and describes herself as a Competitive and outgoing person. She established herself after breaking her school record for a 5th time when she placed 2nd at the Atlantic Sun Championship. Kennedy is currently studying at the University of East London.

Will has been working with the group for a few years and has seen massive improvement. Always ranked among the top hurdlers in the country in the younger age groups, Will is now in the junior age group and will be looking to continue the form he has shown by qualifying for the GB Junior team for the European Junior Championships.

Jonathan Mann

Club: Bexley AC
Jonathan is in his second season with the group and is making fast progress. Starting out mainly as sprint hurdler, Jonathan now feels his potential may lie in the 400m hurdles. Having made national age group finals previously, Jonathan is looking to move on to the podiums.

Jonathan is a highly motivated and energetic athlete who joined the group after coming from the United States to study at the University of East London. He comes with an impressive record. He has placed 3rd at NCAA D2 All-American indoor championships and also broke the Gulf South conference record at his home track to a standing ovation which he cites as his proudest moment in his career so far.

Ethan Akanni

Ethan has taken a huge leap in form and now is one of the best young sprint hurdlers in Great Britain. He was ranked 2nd and 5th in the u20 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles respectively last season and in the the top 15 in the world but coming 4th at the European youth championships in 2016 is what he likes to remember the most. Ethan is currently studying at Loughborough University.

Mayowa is a confident and hard-working athlete who describes himself as curious due to his desire to question and gain knowledge of his performances.
